Cardano Launches Official ADA Card With Wirex — 6M+ Users in 130 Countries to Access Cardano Payments

- Cardano Card integrates directly in the Wirex app, exposing millions of users to ADA spending.
- Holders gain access to rewards, loans, yield features, and a coming non-custodial upgrade in 2026.
EMURGO, the commercial arm of Cardano, unveiled a new global partnership with Wirex during day zero of the 2025 Cardano Summit in Berlin. The collaboration introduces the Cardano Card, a multi-chain crypto card integrated directly into the Wirex platform, connecting ADA to more than 6 million users across 130 countries.
Phillip Pon, CEO of EMURGO Group, stated,
Partnering with Wirex as the issuer of the Cardano Card is more than just a crypto card launch. It delivers a huge boost for Cardano’s visibility in the banking world and merges real-world utility with onchain utility.
The announcement took place just before the Summit officially began on November 12–13, 2025. Participants will be given early access to both the physical plastic and metal versions of the card, as well as the opportunity to experience virtual cards on-site by registering at the Cardano Card booth.
Cardano is taking a major step into global digital payments.

Cardano Card Brings DeFi to Everyday Spending
With native integration into the Wirex app, the Card is instantly visible to Wirex’s global user base. This partnership bridges traditional banking systems with blockchain-based financial tools, giving users the ability to hold and spend ADA alongside 685 other cryptocurrencies and stablecoins such as BTC, ETH, and USDC.
Users can make offline and online payments anywhere Visa is accepted, receive up to 8% crypto cashback, and enjoy low foreign exchange fees and ATM access. The Wirex app’s ecosystem offers yield opportunities through X-Accounts, loan options, and structured trading products. A share of profits generated through the card will contribute to the ADA Treasury, supporting the network’s ongoing development.
Georgy Sokolov, Co-founder of Wirex, said,
We’re thrilled to see Cardano launch their first ever card offering through the Wirex ecosystem. This marks not only a major milestone for Cardano as they expand into the global banking and payments space, but also a testament to their commitment to driving real-world adoption under their brand.
Non-custodial Cardano Card Set for 2026
A second phase of the project is planned for 2026, which will feature a non-custodial version of the Card. This model will maintain all existing benefits, including access to loans and yield options, while giving users more direct control over their assets.
Other companies have introduced similar payment-linked cards. Gemini recently released a Solana credit card following the use of its earlier XRP card. Fold launched a Bitcoin card in September with support from Visa and Stripe. These releases outline demand for digital spending tools connected to established payment rails.
ADA is currently trading at $0.5700, down 2.76% in the past 24 hours. The price moved between $0.57 and $0.60 during that time. Despite the short-term dip, the asset has risen about 11% over the past week, reflecting an overall positive trend.
