{"id":65989,"date":"2024-07-18T09:36:32","date_gmt":"2024-07-18T09:36:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/?p=215423"},"modified":"2024-07-18T09:36:32","modified_gmt":"2024-07-18T09:36:32","slug":"mark-cuban-inflationary-pressure-could-see-bitcoin-become-global-reserve","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coinalsat.com\/en\/mark-cuban-inflationary-pressure-could-see-bitcoin-become-global-reserve\/","title":{"rendered":"Mark Cuban: Inflationary Pressure Could See Bitcoin Become Global Reserve"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<ul>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Inflationary pressure and geopolitical uncertainty could see Bitcoin become a global reserve currency, states Cuban<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">The billionaire believes Trump&#8217;s lower tax rates and tariffs could push up Bitcoin&#8217;s price<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Elon Musk plans to commit $45m a month to back Trump&#8217;s presidential run<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>US billionaire Mark Cuban believes that through a combination of inflationary pressure and geopolitical uncertainty, Bitcoin could become a global reserve currency.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to X, the billionaire indicated that Silicon Valley&#8217;s support for former President Donald Trump was a &ldquo;bitcoin play&rdquo; to boost its price. <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/mark+cuban\">Cuban<\/a>, who has backed <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/joe+biden\">Joe Biden<\/a> for re-election, stated that lower tax rates and tariffs under Trump could push up Bitcoin&#8217;s price.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Combine that with global uncertainty as to the geopolitical role of the USA, and the impact on the US dollar as a reserve currency, and you can&#8217;t align the stars any better for a BTC price acceleration,&rdquo; <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/mcuban\/status\/1813591281970348264\">Cuban wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He added that this will make it easier to &ldquo;operate a crypto business because of the inevitable, and required, changes at the&rdquo; US Securities and Exchange Commission (<a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/SEC\">SEC<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-215427\" src=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/Mark-Cuban.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"919\" height=\"943\"><\/p>\n<h2>How High?<\/h2>\n<p>Questioning how high <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/search\/bitcoin\">Bitcoin<\/a> can go, Cuban didn&#8217;t give a figure, but wrote &ldquo;way higher than you think,&rdquo; adding that this is due to its global status, its 21 million Bitcoin limit, and the fact that the currency has unlimited fractionalisation.<\/p>\n<p>In Cuban&#8217;s view, Bitcoin could become a safe haven as countries turn to it as they seek to protect their savings if geopolitical uncertainty continues and the dollar declines as a reserve currency.<\/p>\n<p>While he only indicated that this was a possibility and isn&#8217;t saying it will happen, he added that it&#8217;s already happened in countries facing hyperinflation.<\/p>\n<p>Following Trump&#8217;s injury during an <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/coinjournal.net\/news\/donald-trump-related-tokens-surge-after-shooting-incident\">assassination attempt<\/a> at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Musk officially endorsed the former GOP President by saying he plans to <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/elections\/elon-musk-has-said-he-is-committing-around-45-million-a-month-to-a-new-pro-trump-super-pac-dda53823?mod=breakingnews\">commit $45m a month<\/a> to a new super political action committee backing Trump&#8217;s presidential run.<\/p>\n<p>In March, billionaire Elon Musk indicated he wasn&#8217;t voting for the Democratic Party in November. The tech mogul who owns Tesla and SpaceX, in addition to X, <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1771994150038118599\">wrote<\/a> &ldquo;I voted 100% Dem until a few years ago.
