In the second quarter of 2025, these firms accumulated a total of 159,107 BTC, valued at over $17.6 billion at current prices.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Corporate Bitcoin Holders Break Quarterly Record<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to data from <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BitwiseInvest\/status\/1943029893153067193\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitwise Asset Management<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Bitcoin treasuries now hold a total of 847,000 BTC. The 159,107 BTC accumulated in Q2 represents a 23.13% increase from the previous quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By the end of Q2, the total value of corporate Bitcoin holdings increased to $91 billion. This value is calculated based on Bitcoin\u2019s closing price of $107,754, a 60.93% increase from the previous quarter.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The number of Bitcoin treasures holding BTC also increased in Q2, 2025. According to Bitwise data, 46 new firms joined the space. This pushed the total corporate BTC treasuries to 125, marking a 58.23% increase from the previous quarter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michael Saylor\u2019s <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/strategy-buys-extra-245-btc-for-26m\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strategy<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> remains the biggest corporate holder of the leading coin. The firm currently holds 597,325 BTC, valued at about $66 billion at the current market price.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As previously <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/microstrategy-aims-for-historic-84b-btc-purchase-saylor-stays-ultra-bullish\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">mentioned<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in our report, Strategy aims for a 25% BTC yield by 2025. The firm consistently issues convertible notes and at-the-market (ATM) equity offerings to fund aggressive Bitcoin purchases.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strategy stock (MSTR) has benefited from the firm\u2019s Bitcoin accumulation strategy. MSTR is up 43% year-to-date, far outperforming the S&amp;P 500\u2019s modest 6.4% gain over the same period.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The stock also surged more than 9% and 6% over the week and past month, respectively, according to data from <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/finance\/quote\/MSTR:NASDAQ\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Google Finance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bitcoin miner MARA Holdings is the second-largest corporate BTC holder, with total holdings of\u00a0 49,940 BTC. Similar to Strategy, MARA funds its <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/marathon-plans-2b-stock-sale-to-buy-bitcoin-and-expand\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BTC purchase with stock offerings<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Shares of MARA Holdings have gained more than 10% Year-to-date.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Metaplanet Emerge as Japan\u2019s Champion<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In Japan, Metaplanet has emerged as a Bitcoin powerhouse. The firm is now the largest corporate BTC holder in the country and the fifth-largest BTC treasury operator in the world.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Metaplanet holds a total of 15,555 BTC, outperforming household names like Toyota and Sony. The company has aggressively raised funds over the past few months to build its Bitcoin Treasury.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In our last update, we <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/tokyo-firm-metaplanet-bags-1234-btc-now-seventh-largest-corporate-holder-worldwide-more-bitcoin-than-tesla\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">examined<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that Metaplanet aims to acquire 201,112 BTC by 2027. The firm also revealed plans to hold 30,000 BTC by the end of 2025 and 100,000 BTC by 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To deepen its commitment to BTC, the company <\/span><a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/metaplanet-to-spend-5-billion-on-bitcoin-via-new-u-s-operation\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">approved a $5 billion capital<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> contribution to expand its digital asset reserve.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other new entrants also making waves in the Bitcoin treasury space include Twenty One, GameStop, and Trump Media. Twenty One recently launched with a $685 million capital raise and quickly deployed over $450 million into BTC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">GameStop made its first-ever BTC purchase, adding 4,710 BTC to its balance sheet. Trump Media joined the fray, filing to raise $2.5 billion to buy BTC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The expansion of BTC treasuries has helped to reinforce the legitimacy of the leading asset. It also coincides with the latest BTC price rebound. Bitcoin has hit a new all-time high of $112,014.
