He dismissed the rivalry, noting that fighting with the Cardano or <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/what-is-ripple-and-what-is-xrp-origin-and-beginner-guide\/\">XRP<\/a> community was &#8220;incredibly bearish.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Yakovenko later proposed that his team build a bridge connecting Solana and Cardano, an invitation that was welcomed by members of both communities.<\/p>\n<p>Eccentric Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson accepted the invitation, claiming it&#8217;s time to build.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Time to get cooking <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jqMPw7R4Gl\">https:\/\/t.co\/jqMPw7R4Gl<\/a> <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jsjw4Tinfr\">pic.twitter.com\/jsjw4Tinfr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Charles Hoskinson (@IOHK_Charles) <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/IOHK_Charles\/status\/2003316026973515885?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 23, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async data-type=\"lazy\" data-src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>The proposal has received support beyond the two communities, with projects <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/spacecoin\/status\/2003323193646584311\">like Spacecoin<\/a> urging them on.<\/p>\n<h3>Solana-Cardano Rivalry Coming to an End?<\/h3>\n<p>The Cardano community has had fierce rivalries over the years, from Ethereum to XRP. However, one of its most contentious is with Solana, with both targeting the same market and each claiming to have the best technology.<\/p>\n<p>This debate was ignited recently by Hoskinson, who in an end-of-year video alleged that Solana had sacrificed security for speed. When asked why Cardano is not as fast as Solana, he responded:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>It&#8217;s hard to be as decentralized and have all the bells and whistles we have in terms of security, and still be as fast as Solana. It&#8217;s easy to be as fast&#8230;it&#8217;s hard to do that and have 50% Byzantine resistance, Nakamoto-style recovery, and full decentralization.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>This sparked a social media war between the two communities, with Solana enthusiasts citing the November chain split and node malfunction as evidence that Cardano overstates its security. As we <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/cardano-community-unites\/\">reported<\/a>, the network faced congestion, not an outage, and this was quickly resolved. As we have <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/cardano-or-solana-the-altcoin-to-watch-for-massive-2026-gains\/\">reported<\/a>, cross-chain cooperation is the only way to move the industry forward.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, both ADA and SOL continue to <a rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.crypto-news-flash.com\/cardanos-hoskinson-talks-about-ada\/\">trade sideways<\/a>, dipping slightly in past day, with their losses in December hitting <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">11%<\/span><\/strong> and<strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"> 5%<\/span><\/strong>, respectively.
